Hunter Dickinson Reacts to Jeff Goodman Calling Allen Fieldhouse the Best Place for College Basketball

While it’s been widely known for several years that Allen Fieldhouse is one of the premiere environments to watch a college basketball game, analyst Jeff Goodman reaffirmed that fact after attending Kansas‘ 78-65 win over No. 4 Houston.

Goodman highlighted the energy at Allen Fieldhouse dubbing the venue, “The BEST place to watch a college basketball game, ” which prompted a response from Kansas center Hunter Dickinson.

Dickinson contributed 20 points, eight rebounds, and four assists in Saturday’s win over Houston which helped put the Jayhawks back into first place in the Big 12 Conference. They are joined by Houston as the only two teams remaining with 6-3 conference records.

With Allen Fieldhouse being one of college basketball’s greatest environments, the Jayhawks have backed it up, boasting a perfect 12-0 record at home this season. Thanks to the improvement from players like Johnny Furphy and KJ Adams, Kansas has pushed its way back into the national spotlight after dropping games against Iowa State, UCF, and West Virginia.

The Jayhawks will now hit the road to Manhattan for a big Monday game against Jerome Tang and the Kansas State Wildcats. Despite the Wildcats’ recent struggles over a four-game losing streak, if one thing remains consistent in the best basketball league in America, it is not easy to win on the road. The Sunflower Showdown tips off at 8:00 PM CT in Bramlage Coliseum on ESPN.
