Baker Mayfield’s 2023-24 season ended with a bang at the Pro Bowl Games this past weekend as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ quarterback was one of the best players, regardless of position, at the celebratory event in Orlando.
While the “Pro Bowl” isn’t a real football game anymore, it’s still an honor to be named as one of the top players in the league and is a fun weekend for several guys who’ve wrapped up their seasons.
The NFC was victorious after the flag football finale, winning the weekend by a total score of 64-59. Mayfield and Saints linebacker Demario Davis were named the Games’ Most Valuable Players for offense and defense.
Perhaps Mayfield’s biggest moment from the weekend was outlasting Texans’ rookie CJ Stroud in the Precision Passing competition, securing a win for the NFC in a pivotal point in the games.
A resurgent season for the former Sooner also likely earned him a contract with the Bucs for the foreseeable future, as he posted career highs in yards (4,044), passing touchdowns (28), and completion percentage (64.3%) in 2023, and led Tampa Bay to their third straight division title.
