Jerome Tang and the Kansas State Wildcats will have one of their key members available for Monday night’s game against Kansas with senior forward David N’Guessan returning from a knee injury.
According to a report from CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, N’Guessan will be dressed and available for the Wildcats’ 10th game in Big 12 Conference play.
N’Guessan has been a solid player for Jerome Tang this season averaging 7.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game in his second season with the Cats.
Coming out of high school, N’Guessan was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and checked in as the nation’s 389th-ranked prospect. He also checked in as the 77th-ranked power forward in his class and the 11th-ranked player in the state of Maryland.
N’Guessan’s biggest game of the season came against West Virginia on January 9th where he recorded 17 points, seven rebounds, two blocks, one assist, and one steal.
Getting N’Guessan back on the court is a massive plus for the Wildcats’ frontcourt as Kansas State gets set to take on the Kansas Jayhawks in the 300th matchup between the in-state rivals. Kansas State enters the game on a four-game losing streak, but with N’Guessan returning to action in Manhattan, Jerome Tang’s squad could have a chance to take down one of the top squads in America.
