Matt Campbell and the Iowa State Cyclones added a new name to the Class of 2025 with the commitment of three-star offensive lineman Will Tompkins.
Tompkins elected to join the Cyclones after receiving offers from 13 different programs including the likes of Kansas State, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, USC, Penn State, Tennessee, and more.
Coming out of Cedar Falls High School, Tompkins is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and is currently listed as the nation’s 594th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the 46th-ranked tackle in his class and the seventh-ranked player in the state of Iowa.
With his commitment, Tompkins becomes the Cyclones’ third commitment in the Class of 2025 joining fellow three-stars Alex Manske and Trey Verdon. Verdon, a three-star defensive lineman from Ohio, announced his decision to commit to Iowa State three days prior on February 6th.
While the 2024 season is still the better part of seven months away from kicking off, Tompkins and the rest of the Class of 2025 commits will have an opportunity to watch their future team take the field for the first time in 2024 on Saturday, August 31st against North Dakota.
