The Big 12 saw five teams make the AP Top 25 Women’s Basketball Top 25, released on Monday after Week 14 of the season and the first 12 games of conference play.

League play is headed into the home stretch, with all teams facing six games in the next three weeks before the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City.

Those teams included:

Texas at No. 5 (No. 7 last week);

Kansas State at No. 7 (No. 8 last week);

Baylor at No. 21 (No. 18 last week);

Oklahoma at No. 23 (No. 24 last week).

West Virginia at No. 24 (No. 22 last week);

Kansas State (21-3, 10-2) was coming off a bye during the mid-week and then beat Oklahoma State, 69-68, to win its first game since Jan. 27. The Wildcats snapped a two-game losing streak and continue to get good news on their injured center, Ayoka Lee. Kansas State is at Iowa State on Wednesday and then hosts UCF on Saturday.

Texas (22-3, 9-3) has won four straight and played just one game last week, beating TCU, 65-43, in Fort Worth. The Longhorns are on the road at Houston on Wednesday and then host Iowa State on Saturday.

Baylor (18-5, 7-5) split last week, as the Bears went to Provo and fell to BYU, 78-66. Baylor bounced back at home on Saturday and beat West Virginia, 65-58. Baylor is at Oklahoma on Wednesday and then hosts Texas Tech on Sunday. Before that game the Bears will retire Brittney Griner’s jersey number.

Oklahoma (17-6, 11-1) is on an eight-game winning streak and beat TCU, 72-55, and Iowa State, 86-72, last week. OU’s win at Iowa State was its first in Ames since 2017. Oklahoma faces Baylor on Wednesday at home and then travels to West Virginia on Saturday.

West Virginia (20-3, 9-3) split last week. The Mountaineers beat Texas Tech, 82-59, but fell to Baylor on the road, 65-58. West Virginia remains on the road with a game at TCU on Tuesday, followed by a home game with Oklahoma on Saturday.
