2024 Tight End Charlie Crowell Granted NLI Release from Arizona
While the Arizona Wildcats have done a solid job of retaining their current roster under new head coach Brent Brennan, one player in the Class of 2024 elected to de-commit from the program on Monday and re-open his commitment.
2024 three-star tight end Charlie Crowell took to social media to announce his plans of reopening his recruitment after being granted an NLI release from Arizona.
Crowell released an update on X, saying, “NCAA has granted my NLI release from the University of Arizona. Recruiting is open. Thank you to Arizona Football for the opportunity, and I wish you all good luck.”
Coming out of Summit High School, Crowell is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and is currently listed as the nation’s 1509th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the 78th-ranked tight end in his class and the 12th-ranked player in the state of Oregon.
Before committing to Arizona, Crowell received offers from California, Washington State, Air Force, Idaho, Northern Arizona, and Portland State.
While the Wildcats will not have the addition of Charlie Crowell in their incoming freshman class, the Wildcats do boast the nation’s 61st-ranked class. Arizona kicks off its 2024 season on Saturday, August 31st, against the New Mexico Lobos.
