No. 10 Kansas State Falls Three Spots in Latest Women’s Basketball AP Poll

The Big 12 saw five teams make the AP Top 25 Women’s Basketball Top 25, released on Monday after Week 15 of the season and with two weeks remaining in conference play.

League play is headed into the home stretch, with all teams facing four games in the next two weeks before the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City.

Those teams included:

Texas at No. 5 (No. 5 last week);

Kansas State at No. 10 (No. 7 last week);

 

West Virginia at No. 22 (No. 24 last week);

Oklahoma at No. 23 (No. 23 last week);

Baylor at No. 24 (No. 21 last week);

Texas (24-3, 11-3) won both games last week, defeating Houston, 82-66, and Iowa State, 81-60. The Longhorns have a six-game winning streak going into Wednesday’s home game against Texas Tech and Saturday’s road trip to UCF.

Kansas State (22-4, 11-3) split last week, falling to Iowa State in double overtime, 96-93, and beat UCF, 60-58. The Wildcats host West Virginia on Wednesday and then travel to Kansas on Sunday.

West Virginia (22-3, 11-3) won both games last week, defeating TCU, 77-52, and Oklahoma, 70-66. The Mountaineers travel to Kansas State on Wednesday and host Baylor on Saturday.

 

Oklahoma (18-7, 12-2) split for the week, beating Baylor, 84-73, and then falling to West Virginia, 70-66. The Sooners are at Cincinnati on Tuesday and at home against Oklahoma State on Saturday.

Baylor (19-6, 8-6) split for the week, as the Bears lost to Oklahoma, 84-73, and defeated Texas Tech, 61-32. The Bears host Kansas on Wednesday and travel to West Virginia on Saturday.
