Iowa State G Emily Ryan Returning for 2024-25 Season
Iowa State guard Emily Ryan has been a fan favorite in Ames throughout her four-year career with the Cyclones.
With a Friday announcement that Ryan would not participate in senior day festivities, Ryan quickly followed up reports by announcing her plans to return to Iowa State in 2024-25.
“4 years wasn’t enough,” Ryan said in her post. “Let’s run it back, Cyclone Nation.”
The senior guard is currently averaging 10.3 points, 5.9 assists, and 4.1 rebounds in her fourth college basketball season. Ryan’s biggest game of the year came against BYU on February 24th, where she totaled 22 points, six assists, and two rebounds in 33 minutes of action.
With Ryan set to return to Iowa State in 2024-25, Bill Fennelly’s team will get back their All-Big 12 guard for a fifth and final season of eligibility. Throughout her four years with the program, Ryan averages 10.7 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game.
Iowa State currently sits in a three-way tie for fourth place with West Virginia and Baylor, who also share a conference record of 11-6. Ryan and the Cyclones take the court next in their final game of the 2023-24 regular season on Saturday, February 2nd, against the Cincinnati Bearcats at 1:00 PM CT.
