T’Vondre Sweat Impressing Scouts at 2024 NFL Combine

Former Texas DL T’Vondre Sweat is a big, big man. He is also one of the most technically sound defensive linemen in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Sweat is trending on social media this week after a dominant performance at the NFL Combine, which left scouts worldwide asking for more.

Sweat, a 366-pound defensive lineman from Texas, put together a showstopping performance at the NFL Combine, including a 5.27 40-yard dash,5.27 40-yard dash which was the third-fastest time of any player weighing more than 350 pounds.

The senior defensive lineman was one of the most dominant interior defensive linemen in all of college football last season, taking home the award for 2023 Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. Sweat became the first Longhorn to record the honor since Jackson Jeffcoat split the award with TCU’s Jason Verrett in 2013.

With scouts continuing to take notice, Sweat will likely hear his name called near the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Sweat is currently rated the No. 1 defensive tackle in his class, according to NFLDraftBuzz.com. With his recent highlights at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, the former Longhorn’s stock should continue to rise.
