2024 Big 12 WBB Championship Bracket Announced
The wait is finally over. The Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship Bracket was officially released for 2023-2024.
While most of the league will need to wait and see who advances to start preparing for tournament play, the opening round tips off on Thursday, with No. 14 UCF taking on No. 11 Cincinnati and No. 12 Texas Tech vs. No. 13 Houston.
The official seeding for each team are listed below:
No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 Texas, No. 3 Kansas State, No. 4 Iowa State, No. 5 Baylor, No. 6 West Virginia, No. 7 Kansas, No. 8 Oklahoma State, No. 9 TCU, No. 10 BYU, No. 11 Cincinnati, No. 12 Texas Tech, No. 13 Houston, and No. 14 UCF.
The team that claims the trophy will be awarded the league’s automatic bid in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. This will be the first year that the women’s tournament will be held at the T-Mobile Center and will be held before the men’s tournament, which starts March 12.
After winning the Big 12 Tournament las year, coach Bill Fennelly and the Iowa State Cyclones will look to repeat as the No. 4 seed in the bracket. The Big 12 Championship Game will take place on March 12th at 8:00 p.m. CT in one of the most highly-anticipated Big 12 Women’s Basketball Tournaments in recent years.
