Houston Now Has Second-Best Odds to Win 2024 NCAA Tournament
Kelvin Sampson and the Houston Cougars continue to separate themselves as one of the best college basketball teams in the nation.
In a recent update from BetOnline Sportsbook, Houston has been awarded the second-best (+550) odds of any team to win a National Championship in 2023-24.
Seven Big 12 teams joined them on the list, with Iowa State, Kansas, Baylor, BYU, TCU, Texas, and Texas Tech all receiving national title consideration. The only team currently receiving better odds than Sampson’s group is the UConn Huskies, who are listed at 5/1 (+500) odds.

Houston has been one of the nation’s top storylines this season, as many expected the team to fall back after transitioning to the Big 12 Conference. Kelvin Sampson quickly showed he means business leading his squad to an 11-3 conference record with two games remaining. Houston heads to Orlando to take on Johnny Dawkins and the UCF Knights in Orlando before returning home to close out the season against the No. 14 Kansas Jayhawks.
