Fran Fraschilla Credits Baylor Basketball for Elite Player Development
While it’s no secret that Scott Drew is one of the best talent developers in the NCAA, Fran Fraschilla made sure to praise him for his work over the past three seasons.
Fraschilla took to social media following the Bears comeback win over Texas and gave props to senior forward Jalen Bridges on being one of the many talented players to turn into a star at Baylor.
“The improvement of Baylor’s Jalen Bridges in two years has been remarkable,” Fraschilla said. It underscores the incredible player development program the Bears have. They are the only school in the country in the last three years with a Top 16 NBA Draft pick, with two more on the way.”
The two players Fraschilla referred to in the tweet are a pair of standout freshmen, guard Ja’Kobe Walter and center Yves Missi. Both Walter and Missi were recently listed in a recent article from On3’s Jamie Shaw, which ranked the Top 10 NBA Draft prospects in the nation.
Baylor has been special down the stretch with conference play winding down winning five of their last seven games with losses to No. 1 Houston and No. 20 BYU. Scott Drew’s squad is planted firmly near the top of the NCAA Tournament rankings and will have a chance to boost their stock even higher on Saturday, March 9th, against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
