Pat McAfee to Bring Kirk Herbstreit to Morgantown NIL Fundraiser
Pat McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit made headlines constantly throughout the 2023 college football season when discussing the topic of the West Virginia Mountaineers.
Herbstreit lost a bet with McAfee on whether or not the team would pass the 6.5 win mark, which led to McAfee discussing Herbstreit’s punishment for the loss.
McAfee discussed his plans on the Pat McAfee Show, saying, “I’m going to announce this now even though it has not been scheduled, and we have no idea if it’s possible. Kirk Herbstreit and I will be doing a live show at a theatre in Morgantown where the ticket money that is raised will be donated 50/50 to the NIL and to the children’s hospital down there across the parking lot from the stadium.”
While the idea of two of college football’s most beloved personalities heading to Big 12 Country to raise money for NIL collectives and charities sounds like a fantastic idea on paper, McAfee did mention some possible blockades.
“We have no idea if that’s even possible,” McAfee said. “I have not run that by Herby, but that doesn’t matter. He lost. That’s kind of how that goes.”
Despite the 2024 college football season being roughly five months away, McAfee, Herbstreit, and the Mountaineers will be a funny relationship to follow in the 2024 season.
