Houston is Heavy Favorite to Win 2024 Big 12 Tournament

After winning the Big 12 Conference in their first year as league members, Kelvin Sampson’s team now shifts their focus to competing in their first-ever Big 12 Tournament.

According to some recent odds from BetOnline, Houston is the overwhelming favorite to win the tournament, with (-125) odds to win the Big 12’s post-season tournament.

Houston tips off their tournament run as the field’s No. 1 seed. Kelvin Sampson’s squad is set to take the court on Thursday, March 14th, and will take on the winner between No. 8 TCU and No. 9 Oklahoma.

The Cougars finished their season off with a 28-3 overall record and a conference record of 15-3. After winning the regular season title, the Cougars now look to add a Big 12 Tournament title to their trophy case before likely entering the NCAA Tournament as a one-seed.

The Big 12 men’s basketball tournament officially gets underway on Tuesday, March 14th, with the No. 12 UCF Knights taking on the No. 13 Oklahoma State Cowboys at 11:30 a.m. CT on ESPN+.
