247Sports’ Brad Crawford Labels Kansas State 2024 Team to Spark CFP Mayhem
247Sports’ Brad Crawford wrote an article discussing which college football teams are poised to spark college football playoff mayhem in 2024.
Crawford listed Kansas State as one of the five teams on the list and mentioned that, “The road to AT&T Stadium in Arlington likely goes through Kansas State.”
“Big 12 newcomers Utah and Arizona generate much of the noise in the Midwest along with Oklahoma State and Kansas following the departures of Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC, but the road to AT&T Stadium in Arlington likely goes through Kansas State thanks to a blend of returning veterans defensively and a budding superstar leading the charge on the other side of the football,” Crawford said. “Preseason placement has been all over the place for the Wildcats, who quietly finished inside the top 20 last season, but failed in reaching the league title game after a November loss to Iowa State. With all three of its toughest league matchups, Arizona, Oklahoma State, and Kansas, coming at home in 2024, Kansas State should be in control of its playoff destiny coming down the stretch.”
Kansas State has gotten a ton of hype this offseason from members of the media, mainly in part due to the quarterback under center. Sophomore quarterback Avery Johnson headlined another 247Sports list this offseason, college football’s rising stars, and continues to stack up impressive accolades.
Kansas State kicks off the 2024 season on Saturday, August 31st, against the UT Martin Skyhawks.
