WATCH: TCU’s Emanuel Miller Appears to Have “Nasty” Ankle Injury

TCU forward Emanuel Miller.

TCU guard Emanuel Miller had one of the best games of his 2023-24 season against Oklahoma in the Big 12 Tournament on Wednesday, scoring a game-high 26 points with eight rebounds and three assists.

It was Miller’s second-highest scoring total of the year, ranking only behind his 27-point, nine-rebound performance against Oklahoma earlier in the year.

However, the TCU star ran into some issues on Thursday when the Horned Frogs faced No. 1 Houston.

Late in the first half, Miller was making a pass while in the air and came down awkwardly on his left foot, causing both Rich Hollenberg and Chris Spatola to describe the injury as “nasty.”

Take a look.

Miller was helped to the locker room by trainers, and at that point, it didn’t look great for his chances of returning, however, when TCU took the court in the second half, No. 2 was among the starting five.

Despite his return, ankle injuries tend to be something that lingers, especially after the athlete gets a chance to rest. Whether or not TCU moves on in this tournament, Miller’s ankle will be something to monitor going forward.

Houston leads 31-15 at the half and looks well on its way to a quarterfinal victory over Miller’s Frogs.

TCU is all but guaranteed a spot in the NCAA Tournament regardless of the outcome against Houston.
