2025 Three-Star PG Macari Moore Commits to Iowa State
TJ Otzelberger and the Iowa State Cyclones added a new name to the Class of 2025 on Monday with the commitment of three-star guard Macari Moore.
Moore elected to join the Cyclones in Ames after receiving offers from six teams, including Louisville, Toledo, Central Michigan, and more.
Moore spoke with 247Sports’ Alec Busse about his decision to commit to Iowa State, saying, “It’s a good relationship with the coaches and everybody. They are real helpful and welcoming. They are relentless. They never stop reaching out. They just work, prioritize you.”
Coming out of Huron High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Moore was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 146th-ranked player. He also checked in as the 26th-ranked player at his position and the third-ranked player in Michigan.
Moore’s commitment follows an impressive regular season campaign at Iowa State, where the Cyclones finished second in the Big 12 Conference, won the league tournament, and were awarded the two-seed in the East Regional of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
Moore and the rest of the future Cyclones will have an opportunity to watch their team take the court in the Big Dance on Thursday, March 21st, against No. 15 South Dakota State.
