Oklahoma State G Javon Small Enters Transfer Portal
Following the news of Mike Boynton‘s dismissal, Oklahoma State guard, and leading scorer, Javon Small plans to enter the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.
Small, a junior out of Arizona, will enter the transfer portal after it opens on the morning of Monday, March 18.
Small, a 6-foot-3 guard from Indiana, was named an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention in 2023-24, averaging 15.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game on 44.1% shooting from the field. He transferred to Oklahoma State after spending his first two seasons with the East Carolina Pirates.
Coming out of high school, Small was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index, as well as the 33rd-ranked player at his position and the 18th-ranked player in the state of Arizona.
Small joins former four-star prospect and McDonald’s All-American Brandon Garrison as the first two players to leave the Oklahoma State program in the aftermath of Mike Boynton’s firing.
With two key members of the Cowboys announcing their intentions to transfer on Saturday afternoon, Cowboys fans will likely have a long offseason full of watching offseason departures in the midst of a coaching search.
