Shannon Sharpe Gets Roasted for Picking All Chalk in Men’s and Women’s NCAA Tournament
While ESPN’s Shannon Sharpe had one of the greatest careers of any tight end in the National Football League during his time in professional sports, one sport he wasn’t able to follow much of was college basketball.
Sharpe recently released his picks for the Final Four in both the men’s and women’s NCAA Tournament, which brought haters out of the woodwork to marvel at his picks.
Despite the NCAA Tournament being known for its incredible volume of upsets each season, Sharpe shared on First Take that this year would be a little different. The Pro Football HOFer picked all eight one-seeds to advance to the Final Four in both the men’s and women’s tournament fields.
Representing Sharpe in the Final Four of the men’s bracket are No. 1 UConn, No. 1 North Carolina, No. 1 Houston, and No. 1 Purdue. On the women’s side of the tournament, Sharpe is rolling with No. 1 South Carolina, No. 1 Texas, No. 1 Iowa, and No. 1 USC to make the Final Four in Cleveland.
While Sharpe’s bracket technically has a possibility of being right, the likelihood of all eight one-seeds advancing to the Final Four is next to nothing. The first round of the NCAA Tournament tips off on Thursday, March 21st.
