Baylor’s Ja’Kobe Walter Has Best Big 12 Odds to be 2024 No. 1 NBA Draft Pick
With the 2023-24 season starting to wind down, college basketball fans are beginning to shift their focus to the upcoming NBA Draft.
With the Big 12 Conference producing top NBA athletes each and every season, BetOnline Sportsbook released some updated odds at the No. 1 overall pick and listed one member from the Big 12 Conference in contention.
Baylor‘s freshman guard Ja’Kobe Walter checked in just inside the Top 10, with the 10th-best odds of being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Walter is coming off of an impact season as a freshman, where he averaged 14.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game.

Other Big 12 members joining Walter on the list are fellow Baylor teammate Yves Missi (+12500) and a duo of Kansas players in Johnny Furphy (+8000) and Kevin McCullar Jr. (+10000).
Baylor’s season officially came to an end against 6-seed Clemson in the Round of 32 on Sunday. While Walter still has the option to return to Baylor for the upcoming season, all signs point to the freshman phenom entering his name into the upcoming NBA Draft.
