Jamal Shead Has Fourth-Best Odds to Win 2024 NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player

Houston point guard Jamal Shead has been an integral part of the Cougars’ 2024 NCAA Tournament, with back-to-back impressive performances in the team’s first two matchups.

Shead was recently given the fourth-best odds to win Most Outstanding Player in the NCAA Tournament by BetOnline Sportsbook alongside some incredible players.

 

The three players ahead of Shead on the list are Purdue’s Zach Edey and a pair of UConn teammates, Donovan Clingan and Tristen Newton. Edey is currently listed with +650 odds, UConn’s duo is trailing just behind with +700, and Shead is comfortably in fourth with +950 odds.

Joining Shead as players receiving odds from the Big 12 are Houston’s LJ Cryer(+1600), Emanuel Sharp(+4000), and J’Wan Roberts(+4000), as well as Iowa State‘s Keshon Gilbert(+3300) and Tamin Lipsey(+3300).

Houston and Iowa State are the last two remaining teams from the Big 12 Conference left in the NCAA Tournament field. Iowa State is set to take the field first on Thursday, March 28th, at 9:09 p.m. CT against Illinois, and Houston will take the court the following day at 8:39 p.m. against Duke.
