Oklahoma State F Eric Daily Jr. Enters Transfer Portal
The Oklahoma State Cowboys men’s basketball team is losing another key player this offseason, with freshman forward Eric Daily entering his name into the transfer portal.
Daily was an impressive player coming out of high school in the Class of 2023 and followed up on the hype with a solid freshman season in the Big 12 Conference.
As a freshman in 2023-24, Daily provided a significant impact for the Cowboys. The Florida native posted an average of 9.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game on 49.5% shooting from the field. His biggest game of the season came against Oklahoma on February 24th, where he recorded 20 points, nine rebounds, and four assists in an overtime loss.
Coming out of IMG Academy in the Class of 2023, Daily was listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 38th-ranked player. He also checked in as the ninth-ranked power forward in his class and the third-ranked player in the state of Florida.
Oklahoma State will now have a new spot to fill ahead of the 2024-25 season. Still, with this offseason shaping up to include one of the busiest portal cycles in college basketball history, whoever ends up accepting the job vacancy in Stillwater should have some options available for replacement.
