Following the news of Mike Boynton‘s dismissal, Oklahoma State guard Quion Williams plans to enter the transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

Williams, a sophomore out of Arkansas, will enter the transfer portal after spending the previous two seasons in Stillwater.

Williams is coming off of his best statistical season as a Cowboy averaging 7.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game on 47.5% shooting from the field. His biggest game of the season came against Oklahoma on February 24th where he recorded 21 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.

Coming out of high school, Williams was listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index, as well as the 25th-ranked player at his position and the fourth-ranked player in the state of Arkansas.

Williams joins two of his former teammates in the portal, former four-star prospect and McDonald’s All-American Brandon Garrison and All-Big 12 Honorable Mention Jevon Small as the first three players to leave the Oklahoma State program in the aftermath of Mike Boynton’s firing.

With three key members of the Cowboys announcing their intentions to transfer, Cowboys fans will likely have a long offseason full of watching offseason departures in the midst of a coaching search.
