Kirk Herbstreit Shares Significant Detail on EA Sports College Football 25
Another significant detail for EA Sports’ “College Football 25” has been released, thanks to ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit.
Herbstreit, who was in past iterations of the game and will be one of the primary voice actors in the new release, recently appeared on Pat McAfee’s show on Monday and took a little bit of time to discuss his involvement in the upcoming game.
Whether intentional or not, he dropped a juicy detail on one aspect of the game that can really add to the immersion of a game of this sort.
“It’s tedious work, but I enjoy it because the finished product comes out it’ll be a lot of fun,” Herbstreit says of working on College Football 25. “There’s a variety of voices–in the past there’s always been just the same two or three people calling every game. Now, I think there’s going to be different broadcast booths for different types of games that you play in. So, that’ll be kind of a different wrinkle.
“I think it comes out in July, but yeah, it’s work that we usually do two or three hours at a time, and I’ve got a bunch still to go.”
This report corresponds with something Herbstreit said a few weeks ago, hinting that their might be different broadcast teams for different games, which is pretty cool.
So far, we have seen several people confirm that they will be in the game as voice actors, with names including:
- Rece Davis
- Chris Fowler
- Kirk Herbstreit
- David Pollack
- Desmond Howard
- Kevin Connors
With College Football 25 set to release in July, we’re noy just a few short months away from finally getting a chance to play it ourselves and see what a difference 10 years can make in a college football video game.
