The Big East-Big 12 Battle, which began in 2019-20, will not be played after the 2024-25 season, according to a report from Jon Rothstein.

Rothstein also reports that there is no timetable for an official announcement, but it does appear that the annual matchups are coming to a close after the season.

The 2024-25 season marks the end of a contract between the two conferences, which was extended for two years following the 2022 season.

The Big East kicked things off by winning eight of the 10 matchups in the 2019 season, but the conference tied for the next three years, going 3-3 in 2020, 5-5 in 2021, and 5-5 in 2022.

The Big 12 came out on top in this year’s matchups, going 7-4 against the Big East with eight teams being ranked at the time of the matchups.
