Baylor Listed in Final Three for Charlotte Transfer Igor Milicic

NCAA Basketball: NIT Season Tip-Off Championship

Scott Drew and the Baylor Bears are looking to make their first big splash in the transfer portal this offseason with the addition of Charlotte’s Igor Milicic.

Milicic shared his updated cutdown list with CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, which features three teams: Baylor, Tennessee, and Nebraska.

Milicic is coming off a big year at Charlotte in 2023-24, averaging 12.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game on 48.7% shooting from the field. In addition to his impressive scoring numbers, Milicic was one of the better shooting forwards in the AAC, connecting on 37.6% of his attempts from three.

Milicic Jr. was named a member of the Third-Team All-AAC last season and started 30 of 31 games for the 49ers. Milicic topped his team in multiple statistical categories, including the team’s second-leading scorer, top rebounder, and fourth in the conference in rebounds per game.

With Baylor’s freshman phenom Yves Missi headed to the 2024 NBA Draft, Scott Drew is eyeing targets to bring in to fill some of the loss depth. In order for Baylor to land his services, the Bears will have to beat out Tennessee and Nebraska in the transfer portal.
