West Virginia in Contact With Top Penn State WR Keandre Lambert-Smith

NCAA Football: Big 12 Football Media Days

West Virginia has been in contact with one of the top wide receivers in the transfer portal in Penn State transfer Keandre Lambert-Smith, according to On3.

Lambert-Smith was Penn State’s top reciever last season in receptions and receiving yards. In 2023 he caught 53 passes for 673 yards and four touchdowns.

In a Week 1 win vs. West Virginia, Lambert-Smith finished the game with four catches, 123 yards and two touchdowns as the Nittany Lions rolled to a 38-15 win over the Mountaineers.

Lambert-Smith is a former four-star recruit out of Norfolk, Virginia and is entering his senior season. The 6-foot-1 188-pound pass-catcher has also been in contact with Auburn, Colorado, Georgia and Texas A&M since entering the portal.

West Virginia could be attractive to Lambert-Smith, since he can step in immediately and be a threat for quarterback Garrett Greene, who returns after throwing for over 2,400 yards and 16 touchdowns last season.

West Virginia opens the 2024 football season again against Penn State, but this year’s edition will be played in Morgantown on Saturday, August 31st.
