UCF WR Goldie Lawrence Enters Portal Months After Transferring from Florida State

Just a few months after arriving in Orlando, wide receiver Goldie Lawrence appears to be on the move once again.

According to a report from 247Sports, Lawrence has re-entered the portal after transferring to UCF from Florida State back in January. Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer were credited with the initial report.

Lawrence was a member of Florida State’s 2023 recruiting class and didn’t register a catch with the Seminoles in his first season with the program. After the 2023 season, he entered the portal and committed to the Knights on January 8th.

A product of Sanford (Fla.) Seminole, Lawrence is listed at 6-foot-0, 193 pounds, and is rated as a four-star recruit–the No. 41 wide receiver nationally and No. 77 overall prospect in Florida by ESPN.

According to his recruiting profile on Florida State’s website, totaled 92 receptions for 1,495 yards and 21 touchdowns, adding 139 rushing yards and nine touchdowns on the ground in his prep career.

The redshirt freshman will have four years of eligibility remaining for wherever he lands.

Lawrence was an exciting addition for the Knights this season, and with KJ Jefferson, RJ Harvey, and Kobe Hudson providing a solid core of skill players, he might’ve been the piece to put the offense into overdrive. Now, he appears to be on the move, and UCF will have to hope someone else can emerge to fill the void.
