Casey Dunn and the Oklahoma State offense are closing out the month of April in big-time fashion on the recruiting trail, after flipping 2025 quarterback Adam Schobel from Baylor on Monday.

Schobel is listed as a four-star quarterback and is the No. 17 player at his position in the class of 2025, according to 247Sports. On top of that, Schobel is the No. 39 overall player in the talent-rich state of Texas, giving Oklahoma State their unquestioned quarterback of the future here.

“After a lot of thought I have decided to decommit from Baylor and officially commit to Oklahoma State,” Schobel tweeted Monday. “I would like to thank Coach Aranda and the whole Baylor Coaching staff for believing in me. Ready to get to work. Go Pokes! Go Cardinals!”

“I come from a small town with a population of about 4,000,” Schobel told 247Sports. “Stillwater is about as small town of a vibe as you’re going to get. I really do like that. I really feel like I would fit in well with a lot of the guys there.”

That he certainly will. There’s a ton of excitement around Stillwater after adding such a big talent for the 2025 class, and rightfully so. When Oklahoma State has had good quarterback play under Mike Gundy, the Pokes have been hard to beat.

Schobel’s commitment comes just days after the Pokes landed four-star wideout Jaden Perez, giving them two of the most exciting offensive prospects coming out of the state of Texas next season, and edging out rival Baylor in order to do so.
