UCF One of Three Teams to Watch for Cormani McClain
After electing to enter the transfer portal on April 16th, former Colorado defensive back Cormani McClain has heard from 11 different programs.
Three of the 11 programs, including UCF, USF, and Memphis, appear to be making progress in their efforts to land the Florida native.
“As of Sunday night, Cormani McClain had not scheduled any visits,” On3’s Pete Nakos said. “The Colorado transfer officially entered the portal this past week. Schools like UCF, USF, and Memphis have all come up in conversation. The Tigers are prepared to let him play cornerback and wide receiver, too.”
Coming out of Lakeland High School in the Class of 2023, McClain was listed as a five-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 13th-ranked player. He also checked in as the top-ranked player at his position and the third-ranked player in the state of Florida.
One of the nation’s best prospects in the Class of 2023, McClain compiled an impressive list of offers. The Florida native chose the Buffaloes over offers from 25 different programs, including Alabama, BYU, Florida State, Georgia, Kansas State, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, UCF, West Virginia, and more.
While UCF has already taken a major step in potentially landing Cormani McClain, they will still have some more work to do in order to beat out USF and Memphis his services.
