Dallin Hall Returning to BYU in 2024-25

On Friday, BYU fans received some positive news, with sophomore guard Dallin Hall returning to Provo in 2024-25.

Hall originally announced his decision to transfer on April 12th after his former head coach, Mark Pope, elected to accept the job as Kentucky’s next head coach.

Hall was a major part of Mark Pope’s squad in 2023 and posted some impressive numbers. As BYU’s head coaching situation changed, so did Hall’s decision to transfer. The team announced the hire of Kevin Young, a former associate head coach for the Phoenix Suns, on April 16th. The sophomore guard, Hall, posted 9.0 points, 5.1 assists, and 3.5 rebounds per game in his second season of college basketball.

Coming out of high school in the Class of 2020, Hall was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 444th-ranked player. He also checked in as the 61st-ranked player at his position and the seventh-ranked player in the state of Utah.

While Young’s group returned some major additions, with both Dallin Hall and Richie Saunders returning in 2024-25, BYUs new head coach will still have a long way to go to fill the rest of the offseason departures.
