With former four-star Colorado running back Dylan Edwards entering his name into the transfer portal, many believe that a reunion in the Sunflower State is impending.

On3’s Pete Nakos confirmed the suspicion on Saturday by mentioning that Edwards is currently on an official visit to Manhattan and being hosted by Kansas State quarterback Avery Johnson.

Edwards released a list of teams that he was hearing the most from on Thursday evening, including Kansas State, Georgia, Nebraska, Texas A&M, UCLA, and Ole Miss.

The Kansas native originally committed to Kansas State after graduating from high school. However, after de-committing from the Wildcats to join the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, the Kansas native de-committed once again to head to Colorado.

Now, after being in the portal for a few days, Edwards has elected to take a trip back home to the Sunflower State and will remain in Manhattan through the weekend.

Coming out of Derby (Kan.), Edwards was the No. 100 overall recruit and the No. 3 running back in the Class of 2023, according to Rivals. He was also ranked as the top player in the state of Kansas. In his freshman season with the Buffaloes, Edwards totaled 520 yards and five touchdowns as a true freshman last season.

While Kansas State will have to beat out some of the nation’s top teams to land Dylan Edwards, an all-Kansas backfield that features Avery Johnson (Maize, Kansas), DJ Giddens (Junction City, Kansas), and Dylan Edwards (Derby, Kansas) has the potential to become of of the nation’s toughest offenses to stop.
