Brothers Colton and Brandon Hood Commit to Colorado Football

NCAA Football: Arizona at Colorado

Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes added two new names to their roster ahead of the 2024 season, with brothers Colton and Brandon Hood electing to head to Boulder together.

Colton Hood, a transfer defensive back from Auburn, will be joined by his brother Brandon, a 2024 three-star running back in Colorado’s first season in the Big 12 since 2010.

Older brother Colton Hood played in one game at Auburn before electing to transfer to Colorado to join his brother. Hood saw action in Auburn’s loss to Maryland in the Music City Bowl, where he recorded three solo tackles. Coming out of Eagles Landing Christian Academy, Hood was listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 373rd-ranked player. He also checked in as the 37th-ranked player at his position and the 37th-ranked player in the state of Georgia.

Younger brother Brandon Hood announced his commitment to Colorado and will join the group as an incoming freshman in the fall. Coming out of Eagles Landing Christian Academy, the Georgia native checked in as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 818th-ranked player. He was also listed as the 64th-ranked player at his position and the 92nd-ranked player in the state of Georgia.

While the Colorado Buffaloes have lost a total of 40 players to the transfer portal this offseason, that won’t stop Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes from doing what they can to bring high-impact players like the Hood brothers to Boulder.
