UCF Adds Former Miami QB Jacurri Brown in Transfer Portal

Following his weekend visit to UCF, former four-star Miami quarterback Jacurri Brown has committed to play for the Knights in 2024.

Brown, a talented dual-threat quarterback from Miami, will join Arkansas transfer KJ Jefferson in the quarterback room in Orlando.

An impressive player in the Class of 2022, Brown received offers from 23 different programs. The Georgia native chose to attend Miami over offers from Arizona State, Cincinnati, Georgia, Kansas, LSU, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M, West Virginia, and more.

Coming out of Valdosta (GA), Brown was the No. 263 overall recruit and the No. 16 quarterback in the Class of 2022, according to 247Sports. He was also ranked as the 23rd-ranked player in the state of Georgia. In his sophomore season with the Hurricanes, Brown totaled 238 yards and three touchdowns in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl.

With his commitment, Brown joins his former Hurricane teammate Nyjalik Kelly in heading to Orlando. Brown and Kelly are two key transfers in Gus Mazlahn’s transfer class, which currently ranks as the nation’s No. 25 unit.

While Malzahn will still need to fit all the pieces together, on paper, UCF’s offensive attack should be one of the Big 12’s best units in 2024.
