UCF Adds Former La Salle Forward Rokas Jocius in Transfer Portal

Johnny Dawkins and the UCF Knights added a new name to their roster ahead of the 2024-25 season with the commitment of former La Salle forward Rokas Jocius through the transfer portal.

Jocius, a 6-foot-10 native of Lithuania, spent the previous seasons at La Salle, where he suited up in 61 contests for the Explorers.

Last season, as a member of the Explorers, Jocius put up some solid numbers. The Lithuanian big man averaged 8.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in his second season of college basketball. In addition to his impressive scoring numbers, Jocius connected on 56.1% of shots from the field and 38.5% from three.

His biggest game of the season last year came against Rhode Island on February 25th in an 84-61 win. Jocius recorded 20 points on 8-13 shooting from the field (2-3 from three), grabbed six rebounds, and a game-high four blocks. He recorded two double-doubles on the season between points and rebounds in 2023-24.

With his commitment, Rokas Jocius became the Knights’ third addition through the transfer portal this offseason and will join George Mason’s Keyshawn Hall and Syracuse’s Benny Williams in Orlando. The team also added former four-star guard Mikey Williams in January after Williams elected to leave Memphis.

While the Knights may not have had the season they envisioned in their first year as members of the Big 12 Conference, Johnny Dawkins and his staff are doing everything they can to field a competitive roster in 2024-25.
