Two Big 12 Teams Competing for UNCW Transfer Trazarien White

NCAA Basketball: Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Baylor

After announcing his decision to enter the transfer portal on April 25th, UNCW forward Trazarien White remains one of the biggest names available this offseason.

On Tuesday, White revealed a cutdown list of three teams that he would be focusing on, which included two teams from the Big 12 Conference, Baylor and TCU.

Trazarien White generated interest from several teams in the transfer portal this offseason after posting incredible numbers during his junior season. The junior forward averaged 19.8 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game while connecting on 49.3% of shots from the field.

While White was listed as an unranked prospect by most major recruiting services when coming out of high school, the Texas native worked his way into a four-star portal prospect three seasons later. White checks in as the 61st-ranked player in the portal on the 247Sports index and the 12th-ranked player at his position.

Joining the Bears and the Horned Frogs on White’s list are Chris Jans and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.

While Mississippi State has an equal shot at landing White’s services, should the junior forward wind up in the Big 12 Conference as a Bear or as a Horned Frog, the league will have added yet another talented scorer to its ranks.
