Baylor Men’s Basketball Set To Play In 2025 Maui Invitational

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament Second Round-Baylor vs Clemson

The Maui Invitational is one of the most prestigious tournaments in college basketball, and the committee has announced which schools will compete in 2025.

The Baylor Bears have agreed to travel to Honolulu to join the seven other teams in the tournament.

Purdue defeated Marquette 78-75 in the championship game last season, led by Zach Edey, who finished with a game-high 28 points while grabbing 15 rebounds.

The Bears join the 2025 roster, which includes NC State, Chaminade, Oregon, Seton Hall, Texas, UNLV, and USC.

The Bears last competed in this tournament in 2013, finishing with a 3-3 record.

Last season, Baylor was sent home early, losing in the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament to the Clemson Tigers.

Despite an early end to their season, the Bears placed third in the Big 12 at the end of the regular season with an overall record of 24-11.

Head Coach Scott Drew added serious firepower to the squad with commits from five-star recruit VJ Edgecombe and four-star recruits Robert Wright and Jason Asemota.

Auburn, Iowa State, Colorado, Dayton, Memphis, Michigan State, North Carolina, and UCONN will all be competing in the 2024 Maui Invitational.
