Cody Williams is set to become the first Buffalo in Colorado basketball history to be a one-and-done player

ESPN has ranked Williams as the No. 12 overall prospect ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft.

The 6-foot-8 forward finished his freshman season with averages of 11.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.6 assists while connecting on 55.6% of his shots from the floor. He is also one of the best long-range shooters in the draft, as he knocked down 41.5% of his three-pointers last season.

Williams is the younger brother of current Oklahoma City Thunder guard Jalen Williams, who was selected 12th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft out of Santa Clara.

247Sports listed Williams as a five-star prospect out of high school, earning the ranking of the No. 4 overall player in the Class of 2023.

With the help of Williams, the Buffalos reached the Round of 32 in the 2024 NCAA Tournament before falling to the Florida Gators in a 102-100 double-overtime loss.

In ESPN’s latest mock draft, released on Sunday, Williams is projected to join forces with his brother in Oklahoma City with the 12th overall pick. Several mock drafts expect him to be selected in the lottery.
