Colorado RB Transfer Commit Rashad Amos Flips to Ole Miss

NCAA Football: Arizona at Colorado

Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are losing an important member of their transfer class, with Colorado running back commit Rashad Amos flipping to Ole Miss.

Amos, a 6-foot-2 sophomore from Georgia, was a 1000-yard rusher last season at Miami Ohio, and became a big name to watch in the Colorado running back room prior to his decision to flip.

Last season with the Redhawks, Amos posted some impressive numbers. The Georgia native recorded 210 carries for 1,075 yards and 13 touchdowns. Amos started his career at South Carolina, where he spent two seasons before transferring to Miami, OH, as a redshirt sophomore.

Coming out of Sandy Creek High School in the Class of 2020, Amos was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 1090th-ranked prospect. He also checked in as the 62nd-ranked player at his position and the 89th-ranked player in the state of Georgia.

After losing freshman running back Dylan Edwards to Kansas State through the transfer portal and now missing out on Amos, the Buffaloes will likely rely on Ohio State running back transfer Dallan Hayden to carry the bulk of the load in the ground game.

Colorado kicks off the 2024 season on Thursday, August 29th, against the North Dakota State Bison.
