Ahead of the 2024-25 college basketball season, 247Sports listed its “10 best college basketball transfer portal newcomers in the Big 12.”

Guard AJ Storr led the way at No. 1 after transferring to the Kansas Jayhawks from Wisconsin. He averaged 16.8 points and 3.9 rebounds for the Badgers last season, knocking down 43.4% of his shots from the floor.

The 6-foot-7 guard has two years of eligibility remaining.

Storr was one of the most consistent scorers in all of college basketball season, reaching double-digits in 34 of 36 games, including a 30-point performance in a win over Northwestern on March 15.

With the commitment from Storr, this marks the third-straight year where Head Coach Bill Self has brought in a top-10 transfer player. He was ranked at the No. 4 overall prospect in the portal.

Baylor transfers Norchad Omier (Miami) and Jeremy Roach (Duke), as well as West Virginia transfers Tucker DeVries (Drake) and Javon Small (Oklahoma State) round out 247Sport’s top five.

The Mountaineers retooled under Newly-Hired Head Coach Darian DeVries after the crew went 9-23 last year, placing last in the Big 12 Conference.

The rest of the list included Cincinnati transfer Dillon Mitchell (Texas), Kansas transfers Zeke Mayo (South Dakota State) and Rylan Griffen (Alabama), Houston transfer Milos Uzan (Oklahoma), and TCU transfer Trazarien White (UNC Wilmington).
