Arizona State, Grand Canyon Set To Battle in Hall of Fame Series

Arizona State University head basketball coach Bobby Hurley is interviewed on TNT's pregame broadcast Men's before the NCAA national championship game at State Farm Stadium.

The Hall of Fame College Basketball Series will be held on Nov. 14 at Phoenix’s Footprint Center, between the Arizona State and Grand Canyon men’s and women’s basketball teams.

Arizona State finished 14-18 last season, whereas the Antelopes capped off a 30-5 season with a NCAA Tournament win in the first round against Saint Mary’s before falling to Alabama in the Round of 32.

Grand Canyon will look to rebuild after star point guard Tyon Grant-Foster declared for the 2024 NBA Draft, as he placed 37th in points per game last season with 20.6.

The Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year also averaged 6.1 rebounds to go along with 1.6 assists. Grant-Foster also showcased his versatility on both sides of the floor with a team-leading 1.5 blocks per contest.

Sun Devil’s Head Coach Bobby Hurley looks to get his team back to the Big Dance after falling short last season. Five-star forward Jayden Quaintance committed to ASU after decommitting from the Kentucky Wildcats earlier this offseason.

On the other hand, the Sun Devil women’s basketball squad struggled last season, placing 11th in the Pac-12 with an 11-20 overall record. Grand Canyon finished its season with an impressive 24-8 record.

The 2024-25 season will mark ASU’s first season competing in the Big 12 Conference.
