With legendary broadcaster and NBA Hall of Famer Bill Walton passing away on Monday, sports fans have been sharing some of their favorite moments from Walton’s career.

One particular moment shared features Walton on air with his co-host, calling a game and taking an interesting approach to eating a cupcake while sending a happy birthday wish to a viewer.


Walton passed away on Monday at the age of 71 after a prolonged battle with cancer. The former UCLA Bruin had an incredible career on the basketball court in college and in the NBA and quickly became an icon in the booth after his playing career. Thanks to his unique commentary style, he accrued millions of fans across the world.
