Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears to be Featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks

Caleb Williams is one of the most divisive players in recent NFL Draft history, and his rookie year with Chicago will draw attention from all corners of the country as he attempts to get Da Bears back to competing for an NFC North Title.

The Bears have certainly done their part to surround him with the talent needed to be successful from the jump, as they added names like D’Andre Swift, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze to an offense that already features DJ Moore.

Chicago will have no shortage of storylines in 2024, and that likely plays a large role in why the franchise was just announced as the focal point of HBO’s Hard Knocks: Training Camp With the Chicago Bears.

In a special feature edition of HBO’s hit show, NFL fans will get an inside look at training camp with the Bears and how their new franchise quarterback is transitioning into his new role.

The five-episode series will debut on Tuesday, August 6 at 9:00 p.m. on HBO and will stream on HBO Max after that. New episodes will run each Tuesday through September 3.

“‘Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Chicago Bears‘ will provide our passionate fans across the world the ability to experience this unique and critical time in the history of our franchise,” Bears president and CEO Kevin Warren said in a statement on Thursday.

Williams was one of college football’s biggest stars during his time at Oklahoma and USC, playing under offensive savant Lincoln Riley.

After earning the starting job midway through his freshman season at OU, Williams quickly became a major talking point in Norman and around the country. When he followed Riley to USC, he became the Trojans’ hero in his first season in LA, leading them to an 11-3 record and a Cotton Bowl berth.

He also collected the 2022 Heisman Trophy after throwing for 4,537 yards and 42 touchdowns to just five interceptions while also adding 380 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground as a sophomore.

Over the course of his collegiate career, Williams completed 66.9% of his passes for 10,082 yards and 93 touchdowns with 14 interceptions, adding 537 yards and 21 rushing scores.
