Kansas State will travel to New Orleans to take on the Tulane Green Wave on Saturday Sep. 7 at 12 p.m. EST, per Brett McMurphy.
The game will air on either ESPN or ESPN 2 during Week Two of the College Football season.
Tulane finished 2023 in first place in the American Conference with a record of 11-3 with its season coming to an end in a Military Bowl loss to Virginia Tech.
The quarterback battle for the 2024 season will be between juniors Ty Thompson and Kai Horton.
On the flip side of things, the Kansas State Wildcats will be making a change at the QB position with Will Howard transferring to Ohio State. All signs point towards Avery Johnson taking that starting role after leading K-State to a bowl win over NC State.
In that game, Johnson finished with 178 passing yards and 71 rushing yards, totaling three touchdowns in the win. Running back DJ Giddens added 151 yards on the ground as well as reaching the end zone twice.
