2025 Four-Star RB Deandre Desinor Commits to West Virginia

NCAA Football: Big 12 Football Media Days

Neal Brown and the West Virginia Mountaineers made a big splash addition on Monday with the commitment of 2025 four-star running back Deandre Desinor.

Desinor, a four-star running back from Florida, chose the Mountaineers over offers from 34 different programs, including Oregon, Colorado, Florida State, UCF, Ole Miss, Penn State, Texas, and more.

Coming out of Atlantic High School in the Class of 2025, Desinor is listed as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 240th-ranked player. He also checks in as the 17th-ranked player at his position and the 37th-ranked player in the state of Florida.

247Sports’ Director of Scouting, Andrew Ivins, spoke on Desinor back in March, saying, “Compact running back with the foot speed to stretch runs out to the perimeter. He measured just under 5-foot-9, 175 pounds in the spring before his senior season and clocked a favorable time in the 40-yard dash. He displays some shiftiness and agility in the hole but frequently looks to bounce things outside and hug the sidelines. One the stronger side for someone of his stature and can power through his fair share of arm tackles, especially when he’s got a full head of steam. He hasn’t been targeted frequently out of the backfield at the prep level but has created separation as a route runner on the camp circuit. He is on the younger side for his grade and still appears to have plenty of treads left on the tires. Projects as a change-of-pace option on Saturdays that can inject some life into an offense with his burst and vision. Could offer value as a return man on kickoffs.”

With his commitment, Desinor became the Mountaineers’ eighth addition in the Class of 2025, joining seven three-star prospects, headlined by Gavin Crawford, Zah Jackson, and Scotty Fox.

Desinor and the rest of the future Mountaineers will have the opportunity to watch their future team take the field for the first time in 2024 on Thursday, August 29th, against the Penn State Nittany Lions.
