Colorado Football Has the Fourth-Most Bets Placed to Win CFP National Championship

NCAA Football: Colorado Spring Game

According to Bet MGM’s John Ewing, the Colorado Buffaloes have the fourth most placed bets to win the College Football Playoff, causing their odds to shift from +20000 to +12500.

Starting this season, the playoff will expand from four teams to 12 teams, and the Buffaloes are set to compete in their first season back in the Big 12.

After finishing last season 4-8, despite a 3-0 start, CU has hauled in 42 transfers this spring. Star quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter are back as well. Both players are expected to be in the running for the Heisman trophy.

Wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. will also be back in uniform after leading the team in touchdowns last season with six. With Xavier Weaver signing with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent, Horn is expected to have a bigger role ahead of his senior season.

There is a ton of hype around Deion Sanders and company, even though the team finished last place in the Pac-12 with a 1-8 conference record.

Colorado opens the 2024 season against North Dakota State before a rematch with Nebraska and Colorado State shortly after.

In order to make the playoffs, the Buffaloes will have to defeat several tough Big 12 opponents, such as Arizona, Utah, Kansas, and Oklahoma State.
