Former UT-Chattanooga offensive tackle Colin Truett is reportedly transferring to the Kansas State Wildcats, per 247Sports.
The two-time All-Conference selection started at Cincinnati before transferring to the Mocs.
Truett is listed at 6-foot-3 and will have one year of eligibility remaining.
Last season, the Mocs placed second in the Southern Conference with an overall record of 8-5. Junior quarterback Chase Artopoeus threw for 2,672 yards and 20 touchdowns and the squad finished 6-2 in conference play.
On the other hand, Kansas State went 9-4 to finish fourth in the Big 12 Conference. With former starting quarterback Will Howard transferring to Ohio State, all signs point towards Avery Johnson becoming the QB of the future in Manhattan.
In a bowl victory over NC State, Johnson showed the nation what he is capable of doing as the main guy, throwing for 178 yards, adding 71 yards in the ground and totaling three touchdowns.
K-State head coach Chris Klieman has brought several highly ranked commitments via the transfer portal this offseason including Dylan Edwards (Colorado), Ta’Quan Roberson (UCONN), Alec Marenco (New Mexico), Dante Cephas (Penn State), Quenton Rice (BYU), and Jordan Dunbar (Rice).
The Wildcats open the 2024 season at home against UT Martin on Aug. 31.
