Despite holding 21 Division I offers, three-star tight end Joeseph Skipworth committed to the Kansas Jayhawks to play under head coach Lance Leipold, via his X.

The 6-foot-5 offensive weapon chose KU over several other Power Five programs such as Pitt, Mississippi State, and Illinois.

Skipworth is a Florida native and 247Sports ranks him as the No. 67 overall tight end in the Class of 2025.

During his junior season with Pace High school, the future Jayhawk finished with 11 catches, 240 yards, and five touchdowns, per 247Sports.

KU had its most successful season since 2007, concluding 2023 with a 9-4 record capped off with a bowl win against UNLV.

QB Jalon Daniels is back in action for Kansas after missing part of last season with injuries. He led Kansas to its first bowl game in 14 years during the 2022 season.

Star running back Devin Neal returns for his senior season after a strong junior campaign, where he ran for 1,280 yards and reached the end zone 16 times. The 5-foot-11 running back averaged 6.3 yards per carry and added 217 receiving yards as well.

The Jayhawks will begin the 2024 season at home against Lindenwood on Aug. 29.
