NCAA Football: West Virginia at Baylor

The West Virginia Mountaineers continue to make noise on the recruiting trail after receiving a commitment from 2025 three-star defensive lineman, Taylor Brown, according to his Twitter page.

Brown becomes the 13th commitment to play under head coach Neal Brown in the Class of 2025.

The 6-foot-3 lineman chose West Virginia over Buffalo, Memphis, Marshall, Pitt, Temple, and James Madison.

The Upper Marlboro, Maryland native concluded his junior season at Dr. Henry A Wise. Jr High School, as he tallied 22 tackles, along with two sacks, according to Gold and Blue Nation.

Brown joins four-star commit running back Deandre Desinor and the rest of WVU’s 2025 recruiting class that ranks No. 30 in the country, per 247Sports.

WVU finished 2023 with a 9-4 record that was capped off with a Duke’s Mayo Bowl victory over North Carolina. QB Garrett Greene returns for his senior season, along with star running backs Jahiem White and CJ Donaldson.

On the defensive side of the ball, starting safety Aubrey Burks returns for his senior season, after tallying 39 tackles and two interceptions in 2023.

The Mountaineers are set to host the Penn State Nittany Lions in the 2024 season opener on Aug. 31 at 12 p.m. EST.
