Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks added their third player of the day to the Class of 2025 with the commitment of three-star EDGE Garrett Martin.

Martin, a 6-foot-4 defensive end from Arizona, chose the Jayhawks over offers from 13 different schools, including Kansas State, Oregon, Arizona, TCU, Colorado, and more.

Coming out of Saguaro High School in the Class of 2025, Martin is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 985th-ranked prospect. He also checks in as the 51st-ranked player at his position and the seventh-ranked player in the state of Arizona.

“I would first like to thank my family for everything they do and have done for me,” Martin wrote. “Whether it’s taking me to practice, training, or helping me with nutrition, they were always more than willing to do it for me in order to be the best man and athlete I could be. Thank you to all my coaches at Saguaro for pushing me to be the best version of myself every day. Most importantly, I thank God for this amazing opportunity. Thank you to all the other schools that recruited me. That being said, I am 100% committed to the University of Kansas.”

With his commitment, Martin became the Jayhawks’ ninth addition in the Class of 2025, joining eight other three-star prospects and 2025 S Brandon Schmelzle.
